Chemin du Gruyère: The Swiss Chocolate and Cheese Trail

A real insiders' tip! New territory waits to be explored on the diverse three hour hike between Charmey with its spa baths and Gruyeres with its castle, historic city centre and cheese factory. As part of the Alpine Panorama Trail from SwitzerlandMobility, this trail runs through the dream landscapes of the future nature reserve of Gruyere Pays-d'Enhaut, past the coves of the artificial lake Lac de Motsalvens and through the spectacular Jaunbach Gorge.

This trail tempts like no other, from the heavenly chocolate at Maison Cailler in Broc to the legendary cheese of Gruyeres.

Aletsch Panoramaweg: The Swiss Glacier Trail

Europe's longest glacier is not listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for no reason. The landscape through which this four-hour hike from Bettmerhorn mountain station runs is spectacular. Flagstones make the mountain trail easily accessible and on a panoramic level high above the Aletsch Glacier it leads towards the magical Lake Märjelen.

High Alpine Route to Deep Blue Lake Oberblegi

The alpine route connecting Braunwald to Lake Oberblegi and down to Schwanden leads hikers through the weird rock formations of the moranes of the Glaernisch Range.

The alpine route connecting Braunwald to Lake Oberblegi and down to Schwanden leads hikers through the weird rock formations of the moranes of the Glaernisch Range. Indeed, the deep-blue lake itself was created by moranes that dammed the melting waters. Rushing mountain streams and beautiful alpine flowers round off the picture.
