Lauchernalp – sunny terrace

The Lötschental has for a long time been the end of the world and so has remained wonderfully unspoiled. A mountain climbers' Eldorado opens up from the Lauchernalp onwards.

Above the treeline, on a terrace created by a glacier, you soon discover the sun-spoilt Alps of the Lötschen Valley: Krummenalp, Hockenalp, Lauchernalp, Weritzalp and Tellialp.

Hoher Kasten – above the Rhine Valley

The Hoher Kasten has been accessible via an aerial cable car since 1964. In a few minutes one glides from Brülisau near Appenzell to the peak at 1,795 meters, famous for its modern revolving restaurant and panoramic view. The ride alone offers a fascinating view of the hills of Appenzellerland and the majestic Alpstein.

Striking views are yours to enjoy from the viewing platform between Appenzell country and the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, as well as from the remarkable ridge direction Kreuzberge. The cableway from Brülisau has been making its way for you to view top sights since 1964.
