Palazzo Salis

The Palazzo Salis was built in 1629 by the knight Baptista von Salis, converted into a guest house in 1876 and awarded the distinction of Historic Hotel of the Year in 1998.

Located in the Bregaglia mountain village of Soglio, surrounded by a wonderful historic garden, this hotel hails from the 17th century. It has been under the same management since1989. Rooms are decorated from four different centuries. Local specialities are served in the restaurant Sala, while barbeques are held in the garden and whatever the heart desires is served between the tall hedges.

Hotel Walserhuus Sertig

Newly constructed in 1999, the hotel is ideally situated on a plateau at 1860 metres a.s.l. amidst a pristine landscape.

Newly constructed in 1999, the hotel is ideally situated on a plateau at 1860 metres a.s.l. amidst a pristine landscape. The generously-sized twin rooms have been lovingly furnished with stone pine furniture and have a terrace that offers up spectacular views. Predominantly Graubünden specialities prepared using regional products are served in the restaurant and the 'Arven lounge'. The hotel is readily accessible by private car, post bus and – especially romantically – by horse-drawn carriage.

Brienzer Rothorn, 2266m

The Hotel Rothorn Kulm (2266 m.a.s.l.) high above Lake Brienz offers a wonderful view, pleasant rooms, delicious food, and getting there is a quite an extraordinary experience.

Getting to the Hotel Rothorn Kulm (2266 m.a.s.l.) is quite an experience. No prosaic getting there by car or even by aerial cable-car but by steam-driven rack-and-pinion train. The ride there can even be made more romantic by getting to Brienz by a paddle-steamer from Interlaken plying Lake Brienz and Lake Thun.
