The normal ascent of the Breithorn is the easiest four-thousand-metre peak to summit in the Zermatt area. It offers you the fantastic experience to climb up to 4000 metres for the first time. In the morning you take the cable car up to Matterhorn glacier paradise (3883 m) and then begin the ascent. The ascent and descent in snow and ice takes approx. 3 – 4 hours and is suitable for experiencend hikers.
Accompanied by a local tour guide, you will walk through the suggestive historical village center of Intragna, at the entrance of Centovalli. You will visit the Museum of Centovalli and Pedemonte, and you will even go up Ticino's highest clock tower.
This wonderful local walk along the southern flank of the Rigi passes through luscious meadows, traditional farms and offers wonderful views of the lake and mountains. Walking time: 2.5 hrs. Boat departs Lucerne at 9:12. The guide will meet you at Weggis.
