Bendolla and Corne de Sorebois

The name Anniviers supposedly stems from the Latin "ad nives" (to the snow).

Crêt du Midi – Rhone Valley and the Alps

The picturesque holiday village of Vercorin is found at the farthest edge of the Val d'Anniviers, on a piece of land jutting out over the Rhone Valley. From the edge of the village a gondola has been running up the Crêt du Midi, the closest peak between Val d'Anniviers and Vallon de Réchy, since 1973.

Sweeping views extend from far into the Val d'Anniviers valley to the glistening white four-thousanders, the Bella Tola on the other valley side, and across the Rhone Valley as far as the Vaud and Bernese Alps.

Berneuse – Panoramic views from Kuklos

Left beside the Dents du Midi you catch a glimpse of the majestic Mont Blanc, while looking right the Diablerets and mighty Matterhorn – and between the Col du Pillon and Col des Mosses you spy the Eiger.

Männlichen – views of the Jungfraujoch

The valley station of the cable car is only a few steps from the center of Wengen. The spectacular ride climbs over 1000 meters to the 2230-meter Männlichen. The Männlichen also can be reached from Grindelwald Grund by Europe’s gondola train.

The majestic Männlichen is located at1000m above Wengen and almost 1300m above Grindelwald Grund, proposing beautiful views as vantage point over the Lauterbrunnen Valley and Grindelwald.
