Piz Nair – by Guardiaun Grischun

High above St. Moritz where the Säntis cable car ends - at almost 2,500 meters above sea level - is the starting point of the cable car going up to the Piz Nair.

Two funicular railways leaving from the St. Moritz village take you via Chantarella to Corviglia, from where the cable car whisks you up to the famous vantage point in the Suvretta region.

Le Moléson – close to the stars

The higher, the better! You will reach the peak of the Moleson by funicular up to Plan-Francey and then by cable car. While you glide up the northeast face, the horizon recedes ever more into the distance and a thousand sights come into view.

No wonder Freiburg citizens sing songs of the Moléson as the mountain that stole their hearts – already the journey to this scenic summit is a treat.

Fronalpstock – panorama views

A short walk, which is a pleasure in this car-free vacation destination, takes you to the valley station of the Stoos-Fronalpstock aerial cableway. Next to the Hotel Schwyzer Bärghus you will see the small station building of the gondola train. The 560-meter height is conquered in a jiffy.

The striking observation platform above Brunnen is easily reached by chairlift from car-free Stoos. And sweeping views extend from part of Lake Lucerne as far as the Black Forest.

Niederhorn – three-star views

Take the Lake Thun ship from Beatenbucht to Beatenberg and then further on to the Niederhorn. In about 30 minutes by train you will reach a wonderful vantage point facing the Bernese Oberland’s triumvirate of mountains.

Perfect postcard views from the boat – and a stop-off on the Beatenberg sun terrace above Lake Thun. The Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau also present themselves on the way to the Gemmenalphorn, and you catch a glimpse of ibex as well.
