Hoher Kasten – above the Rhine Valley

The Hoher Kasten has been accessible via an aerial cable car since 1964. In a few minutes one glides from Brülisau near Appenzell to the peak at 1,795 meters, famous for its modern revolving restaurant and panoramic view. The ride alone offers a fascinating view of the hills of Appenzellerland and the majestic Alpstein.

Striking views are yours to enjoy from the viewing platform between Appenzell country and the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, as well as from the remarkable ridge direction Kreuzberge. The cableway from Brülisau has been making its way for you to view top sights since 1964.

Weisshorn – mountain and valley views

The Weisshorn is at 2,653 meters Arosa’s tallest mountain. A cable car takes you from the village via the 2,013-meter mid-station to the attractive viewing point on the summit.

The highest mountain in the Arosa region, accessible by cable car, offers impressive views over Chur as well as the Alps of Graubünden as far as Piz Bernina looking south.

High above St. Moritz where the Säntis cable car ends - at almost 2,500 meters above sea level - is the starting point of the cable car going up to the Piz Nair.

Two funicular railways leaving from the St. Moritz village take you via Chantarella to Corviglia, from where the cable car whisks you up to the famous vantage point in the Suvretta region.

Le Moléson – close to the stars

The higher, the better! You will reach the peak of the Moleson by funicular up to Plan-Francey and then by cable car. While you glide up the northeast face, the horizon recedes ever more into the distance and a thousand sights come into view.

No wonder Freiburg citizens sing songs of the Moléson as the mountain that stole their hearts – already the journey to this scenic summit is a treat.
