Collection + Donation Rosengart
Culture – Lucerne's finest art museum is also one of Switzerland's finest. The Rosengart Collection, housed in a grand Neoclassical building on the main Pilatusstrassse boulevard, takes in more than 200 important 20th century works, including dozens of pieces by Picasso, from a 1905 portrait through to several large canvases from 1969. One whole floor is devoted to Paul Klee, and includes many characteristically whimsical sketches, and there are also paintings by Chagall, Renoir, Monet and Modigliani.
