Hiking on the Walser Paths of Graubünden to the old Walser Colonies

Hike to the old Walser colonies Medergen and Sapün with Irene Schuler and Thomas Gadmer, secretary of the Walser Association Graubünden. Discover the culture of the picturesque Walser villages Medergen and Sapün. Hiking duration without breaks 4h. Easy hike (T2). Hiking shoes, sun protection, weather proof clothing, food and drinks as well as hiking poles are recommended. In Mederegen we have to option to enjoy a nice lunch at the mountain cabin Alpenrose. Meeting point 9.00am at the main entrance of the Aroas Kulm Hotel. Return as of Sapün Dörfji at around 5.00pm. Transportation costs CHF 15.00 per person. Info and reservation until 20.07.2014 at 6.00pm under tel. +41(0)81 378 88 88.

Rail travel: Zermatt - Gornergrat / Gornergrat - Riffelberg, hiking route: Riffelberg - Glacier Garden - Suspension bridge - Zermatt.
