The Bern Museum of Fine Art houses one of the most important collection of works. It contains splendid works covering eight centuries including over 3,000 paintings and sculptures as well as 48,000 drawings, lithographs, photographs, videos and films. Works range from the Italian Trecento (Duccio, Frau Angelico), Swiss art art since the 15th century (Niklaus Manuel, Albert Anker, Ferdinand Hodler, Cuno Amiet), international 19th and early 20th century art (Impressionism, Expressionism, Blauer Reiter, Surrealism) with the emphasis on Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky and Pablo Picasso, as well as national (Meret Oppenheim, Franz Gertsch, Markus Raetz) and international schools from Pollock up to the present. www.kunstmuseumbern.ch
