Biel: Lake Biel

The bike tour across the Chasseral is one of those circuits you really need to experience once in your life. The Chasseral is the highest point in the region, and certainly the clearest point of attraction. As soon as the snow has melted, bikers and racers are already working up a sweat on the Jura giant.

Magglingen - Nods - Chasseral - Diesse - Biel

The first 450 uphill metres are covered with the Magglingen mountain railway, after which the route takes you along the hiking trail up to the Twannberg, then on from there to Nods via Lamboing and Diesse. This point marks the start of the major ascent to the Chasseral. From Chasseral, the route winds its way back down the hiking trail to the Métairie du Milieu de Bienne and to the main square. After the Bison farm youll need your technical skills to take you down to a valley, uphill for a short stretch, then down once more to Diesse. From here you head back to the Twannberg. The route now takes you down the hiking trail to Gaicht and from there along the hiking trail towards Biel.
