Description

Such great panoramas for so little effort are not easy to find. And the Pointe de Bellevue mountain path, above Morgins, commences at the Portes de Culet pass crossing – reached by means of a publicly accessible small alpine road. Talk is of a contrast-rich ridge path; with the gentle southern slope shaped by extensive pastureland, while the land falls abruptly into the depths of the Dreveneuse-basin on looking to the north. And of course once on the summit, you’re rewarded with superb all-round views of the Dents du Midi, Rhonetal valley and beautiful Lake Geneva. Those not wanting to return along the same path turn the forty-five-minute ridge hike into a round trip from Morgins - resulting in a much longer hike, but well worth the time - with both the climb and descent leading through blossoming alpine pastures and beautiful views into the depths of the valley all your to enjoy! The homebound path through the village also crosses the Buvette Le Ferrage, a rustic restaurant crowning a beautifully panoramic spot above the valley.
