The hotel's brand-new photovoltaic plant and solar cells now draw energy from Arosa's sunshine. Looking out over a splendid panorama, the hotel's comfortable rooms and suites are furnished with choice antiques, as befits an establishment dating back over 100 years. The centrepiece of the hotel is the "Burestübli" restaurant with traditional cuisine and an old tiled stove. Cheese fondue and raclette are among the highlights. The sauna affords far-reaching views through its huge windows or from its open-air balcony.
This family-run hotel with its Alpine character is set in the village centre just outside the monastery and affords stunning views of the mountains. The rustic yet modern rooms have been tastefully renovated in recent years with great attention to detail. Local culinary delights are served in the three restaurants, the fondue lounge and on the sun terrace. Thanks to the Lehner brothers, there has been a breath of fresh air though the hotel since 2007, making for memorable moments.
The Edelweiss has grown in stature over the past three generations and is now an excellent three-star establishment. The two buildings, both of them built in traditional chalet style, command wonderful views of the mountains of the Lötschental, whether from the room balconies or from the restaurant's spacious terrace. In addition to the three-star rooms, there is also a floor with five family rooms in the cheaper, two-star category to enable even groups and families on a budget to explore the lovely Lötschental.
