Gemsstock – in the Gotthard region

In Andermatt it goes up everywhere - up to the Gotthard Pass, the Oberalp, to Nätschen and on the Gütsch and of course, to the Gemsstock.

A 1500-meter climb leads up from Andermatt to the Gemsstock at almost 3000 meters above sea level – from where you enjoy 360° views over half of Switzerland standing at the heart of the Swiss Alps.

Niederhorn – three-star views

Take the Lake Thun ship from Beatenbucht to Beatenberg and then further on to the Niederhorn. In about 30 minutes by train you will reach a wonderful vantage point facing the Bernese Oberland’s triumvirate of mountains.

Perfect postcard views from the boat – and a stop-off on the Beatenberg sun terrace above Lake Thun. The Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau also present themselves on the way to the Gemmenalphorn, and you catch a glimpse of ibex as well.

Chaumont – above the lake

This unique funicular mountain railway carries you up Mount Chaumont, inviting you to explore the Jura landscape. It is an impressive 15-minute ride up to an altitude of more than a thousand metres, from where you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Three Lakes area.

The mountain ridge between Lake Neuchâtel and Val de Ruz valley is Neuchâtel’s home mountain, a great vantage point, hotel mountain, story-telling mountain narrating the history of the earth, and great place for Jura hikes.

First – more than a dream

There are only a few places in the Alps where the glaciers reach as deeply into the valley as in Grindelwald. The best view is obtained on the First vantage point (2167 meters), which can be reached by means of an entertaining gondola ride.
