The flotilla on Lake Lucerne consists of five nostalgic lake steamers and 15 elegant salon motor boats. Together, these twenty boats ply the lake on various routes that add up to 38 kilometers.

Emosson – railways and reservoir

Three unusual trains take visitors to the Emossen Reservoir Lake. Even getting to Emossen by taking the train from Martigny towards Chamonix, traveling through the almost impassable ravine, is an adventure.

Four scenic railways lead to the Emosson reservoir. And adventure commences in Martigny, on through the cut out Trient Valley, finally arriving at the 180 meter-high dam walls.

Belalp – frontal Aletsch Glacier views

On its 1,767-meter route the cable car Blatten - Belalp climbs 763 meters and takes you to an area from where the entire Aletsch region can be seen.

Rooted in the beginnings of tourism, and constructed way back in1858, the Hotel Belalp and its chapel stand in a prime spot where you enjoy frontal views of the Aletsch Glacier.

Sunnegga / Rothorn – panoramic views

The 3,103-meter mountain can be reached with three modern mountain trains. From Zermatt to Sunnegga and via the Alp Blauherd one can quickly reach the Rothorn and enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view.

Many say that views of the Matterhorn are best viewed from this spot as they reveal its perfect form...which could well be true.
