This splendid and practical book presents five travel routes in different seasons and includes 47 Swiss Historic Hotels.

The first of the nine-day trips begins with the roar of the Rhine Falls, continues on to Eglisau and Basel and then to Kleine Scheidegg, winding up on the Jungfrau glacier.

Concentrating on Graubünden, the second route begins in the village of Bergün, goes on to Bever in the Engadine valley, then to sunny St. Moritz and finally Splügen.

The third route starts in the Ticino, in the artist village of Carona, heads to Ascona, then to Graubünden again with stops in various tourist strongholds and ends in tiny Zuort.

Highlights nonstop also on the fourth route: Here, the highlights are the route from Amsteg (Uri) to the source of the Rhone, the Grimsel Pass and the upper reaches of the Aare River, and at "the very end of Switzerland" Lake Constance.

Finally, glaciers and lakes are the stars of the fifth route: the start is in Kandersteg in the Bernese Alps, then it is up the historic Gemmi Pass to follow in the footsteps of daring mountain tourists to the Valais and Lake Geneva.

The nicely illustrated book with 232 pages is being published at Mattenbach Verlag and can be bought for CHF 82.00 or 68.00 Euro. ISBN: 978-3-905172-70-6.
