In the summer Giswil offers many well marked and interesting hiking trails and a variety of walks through fields and forests. Giswil is the starting point for bike tours of various levels of difficulty. A particular delight is the mountain panorama and the views down into the lovely valley. A trip with lamas is a fascinating experience and on Fluonalp you can make your own cheese.
Giswil has a number of good hotels and restaurants known for their excellent food. It takes only 20 minutes by car to reach the family-friendly winter sport area Mörlialp. Kids try out their new skis in the Zinsli Children’s World, while the grownups chase down the broad runs of all levels of difficulty or have fun on the safe powder slopes. Night skiing offers a special ambiance and the fantastic panorama of the Sarner Valley can be enjoyed during a snowshoe hike.
