Wattenwil - Burgistein - Riggisberg - Mättiwil - Rüeggisberg - Wislisau - Elisried - Schwarzenburg
Always following the brown signs of the Jakobsweg, the route first climbs up from Wattenwil to Burgistein and then on to Riggisberg. The scene is one of open country with wide fields. The path continues to climb gently up to Rüeggisberg. Then you go down past the monastery buildings to the Schwarzwassergraben. On the other side of the valley, a short but steep climb takes you up to a high plateau. You carry on walking westwards and eventually reach the regional capital of Schwarzenburg.
The careful planning of a tour will ensure that you also derive the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from it. Please take the time to contact the local information centre and enquire about route and weather conditions before setting off. Your intended trail may be fully or partially closed, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
