For more than 100 years, the cable car close to Interlaken Ost station has made the 735m climb up through the woods and past the game park to Harder Kulm at 1,322m. The picturesque restaurant with its small tower and red slate roof is just a five-minute walk from the mountain station. Here you'll also find the Two-Lakes Footbridge, a lofty viewing platform with a glass panel for downward views and a spectacular panorama including the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as well as the lakes of Brienz and Thun.
Harder is also a starting point for mountain hikes, direction Augstmatthorn for example, or on one of the forest trails back to Interlaken – while the more sportive climb the Harder and take the railway back!
