Enzian alcohol is distilled from the roots of the yellow gentian. Fifteen kilos of gentian roots produce one litre of alcohol. Because this schnapps has such a strong flavour, people either love it or hate it. The traditional schnapps is distilled and also sold in the Risoux Distillery.
