The 5-km route (not suitable for strollers and baby carriages) appeals above all to children between 4 and 10 years of age. Various adventure stations invite children to play and linger for a while. From Mägisalp (Summit station of the cable-car, 1,708 m) to Bidmi (Mid-station, 1840 m) the descent declines slightly. Actual hiking time approx. 2 hours.

If the Dwarf Trail is too short, you have the option of going up in the Twing cable car instead of the Reuti cable car and hiking from Käserstatt in about one and a half hours via the Marmot Trail to the Mägisalp (where the Dwarf Trail starts). There is easy access to the trail from Meiringen (Valley station Meiringen-Hasliberg cable cars) or from the Hasliberg (Reuti Station).
