Intro

Of all the pistes in the versatile Val d'Anniviers network, the Lona Piste is considered to be one of the most challenging. It offers an exciting mix of leisurely and rapid passages. You start out at the foot of the Becs de Bosson and end up near the village of Grimentz.

There is practically no other place in Switzerland where the sun shines as often as it does in the Val d'Anniviers. Yet, despite this, the valley is snow-sure because the slopes reach an altitude of 3,000 m.a.s.l. Hence, the Lona Piste is the perfect place for an intensive winter experience. You can reach the starting point by gondola, chairlift and ski lift. The difficult descent is mostly above the tree line and affords wonderfully wide turns. Below Bendolla it leads directly onto the FIS Piste to Grimentz.
