Soak up plenty of sunshine even on short winter days while hiking on the Col de la Croix towards the Golf Club. Starting at the Villars-sur-Ollon station, you pass through the village centre before following the road to Col de la Croix. The mountain pass is closed in winter to motorised traffic. The trail slopes gently upwards and before long you enter a pristine winter wonderland while the mighty rocky bastion of the Diablerets massif rises up ahead of you. After passing the Buvette de la Verneyre mountain restaurant the route branches off from the pass road a little further up the valley and leads, now somewhat more steeply, to the snow-covered Villars golf course. Your destination is the Restaurant Golf Club House with its fantastic views of the mountain chain of the Valais and Savoy Alps. There you can take the cog railway from Villars-sur-Ollon Golf station back to Villars.
Villars - Plan de four - VillarsStart at the Railway Station; follow the trail in the direction of Col de la Croix and walk through the center of Villars. From the center continue towards Col de la Croix. Here the ascent begins. Slightly above Villars, continue in the direction of Col de la Croix. Remain for a while on the pass road, which is not passable for vehicular traffic in winter. Near the Buvette de la Verneyre follow the pass road straight ahead. Farther up turn left in the direction of the Restaurant du Golf. You will hike on this path for quite a while. At the mountain station of the chair lift turn left and walk in the direction of Bretaye. At Restaurant du Golf you can get a delicious repast and enjoy the fabulous view. From here the hike at first takes you 50 meters down the ski run, then you turn right in in the direction of the railway station. Subsequently, take the lower path. Hiking more or less parallel to the railway tracks you will reach the Col de Soud. Follow the trail leading to Villars. You will encounter a short ascent. At Le Scex remain on the wide path. Le Scex is a beautiful picnic area that opens up a marvelous vista of Villars. After a few turns, you will be back on the pass road leading to Col de la Croix. From here you will hike in the opposite direction to Villars. In Villars, walk back to the railway station, where you can catch a bus to Aigle or a train to Bex.

From here you will descend for about 50 meters along the ski piste, thenturn right and walk in the direction of the train station.Subsequently, take the lower roadway. Following more or less the railroadline,you will reach Col de Soud. Now turn left and hike in the direction of Villars.A short ascent followsnow in the opposite direction.
02:45 Ar Le Scex, please stay on the broad path. Le Scex ist a lovely place fora respite and offers a magnificent view of Villars. After a few turns, you willonce again reach the pass which leads to Colde la Croix. From here, hike in the opposite directions back to Villars.
