And criss-crossing the mountains around Arosa is a huge network of winter hiking trails. All of which offer spectacular views of the peaks of Graubünden. Nor is the trail leading down off the Weisshorn to Rot Tritt and from there on to Arosa any different. The panorama extends from the Silvretta massif at one extreme to the mighty mountains of the Graubünden Oberland at the other. The infrastructure is first-rate and the hiking trails all beautifully prepared. There are even some inviting benches on which to rest out of the wind en route. And if that doesn’t make you go into raptures…
Weisshorn - Sattelhütte - Rot Tritt - Arosa
At Weisshorn mountain station, first climb up to the summit and there follow the pink signs to Prätschli. After passing the Sattelhütte you will arrive in Scheidegg, where you can simply continue on to Rot Tritt and then via Prätschli down to Arosa.
The careful planning of a tour will ensure that you also derive the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from it. Please take the time to contact the local information centre and enquire about route and weather conditions before setting off. Your intended trail may be fully or partially closed, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
