An aerial cable-car brings you from Airolo to Alpe die Pesciüm. The hike begins at the middle station. The hike runs by several lakes in the Grasso di Lago, Alpe die Ravina, and Alpe di Prato areas. At this last point, look for the sign to Zemblasca.
From here, there is a lovely hike in the direction of Ri della Valletta. Begin your ascent to Lago Tremorgio at the Ri Secco.
From the outcrop of the Brusada mountain ridge, there is a view of the entire circular lake basin of Lake Tremorgio − which is not a volcanic crater, although it looks like one. The grotto is located in beautiful countryside above the lake. A hiking path circles the lake.
