Beautiful French formal gardens laid out in front of one of the town's most beautiful buildings. A haven of peace in the heart of the town.

L'Hôtel DuPeyrou is set amongst beautiful "French formal" gardens. This magnificent residence (Louis XVI style) was built between 1765 and 1770 for Pierre-Alexandre DuPeyrou by Erasme Ritter, a Bernese architect trained in Paris. In the 18th century, the gardens of this building extended to the lake of the Faubourg du Lac of the time.
