To this day, climbing the Eiger North Face is considered one of the most difficult mountaineering feats. One gazes at it respectfully and admires the tenacity and courage of the early alpinists who climbed mountain after mountain with little of the modern equipment we have today.

How to get there:
Drive or take public transportation to Lauterbrunnen via Interlaken, from there to Mürren by train, from there to Allmendhubel by mountain train.

Trail description:
Between Allmendhubel and Schilthalp the well-constructed trail leads past colorful mountain flowers dotting the slopes the wayside and lush meadows. Return from Schiltalp to Mürren via a paved road.

How to get there:
By public transportation or car from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen, by train to Mürren and mountain train to Allmendhubel.
