Comfortable and casual restaurant and bar with a pleasant atmosphere. A range of beers and fine wines is available by the glass. Classic, down-to-earth multicultural dishes are served and the food is freshly prepared in the kitchen. The small but exquisite menu is adapted each season. Such Haberhaus classics as the homemade meatloaf are a fixed feature on the menu. As are the Hapas (meatballs), prunes wrapped in bacon, pickled feta and more besides.
Being housed in a 16th century building combined with simple modern architecture lends this restaurant a special character. Regular small theatrical and musical cultural events are regularly staged in the atmospheric vaulted cellar.

When I go out for the night, it is usually to the Haberhaus or Güterhof. The former is a beautiful medieval granary, which now harbours a restaurant, bar and culture club with an interesting line-up. The Güterhof sits directly below the Munot on the banks of the Rhine. The former warehouse not only serves good food, it’s also a great place to spend an entertaining evening.
