Wengen is located in the popular Jungfrau Region with its spectacular Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau peaks. A mountain train is the only way to get to this village and within 15 minutes of leaving the valley base of Lauterbrunnen, you will find yourself surrounded by a unique panorama from which many spectacular summits can be easily seen. We will take trains, trams and lifts to our hiking adventures where we will get up-close and personal with glaciers and experience panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. One of our hikes actually takes us along the awe-inspiring north face of the Eiger! The rest day offers several options: You can stay in Wengen and perhaps treat yourself to a spa day at the Hotel Victoria-Lauberhorn. Their wellness zone offers a 33°C saltwater spa, steam bath and sauna. Unwind with a massage and then relax on the sun terrace taking in the breathtaking views of the Bernese Oberland Mountains. Or perhaps you feel like venturing out. You can take a short train to Interlaken to shop or go on a cruise on either Lake Brienz or Lake Thun. There are many options from which to choose.

Your tour guides Elaine, Aldo and Dan are on-site during the whole tour to ensure that you have a great time. They’ll be there to help with everything from choosing restaurants, to guiding the hikes to helping you decide how to spend your rest day.

Ride Noho Alpine Adventures is also offering a seven day tour based in the quaint village of Evolène in the Swiss canton of Valais, The tour includes four guided hikes, a fun side trip to Montreux and Chillon and of course magnificent scenery. The Evolène Adventure begins in Zurich on July 27, 2014, and departs from Zurich on August 2, 2014.

The villages of Evolene and Wengen are different in personality and style, but are both centered in a hiker’s paradise.
