The Goms with its sun-worn wooden houses, small and pretty hamlets and an independent cross-country skiing tradition is a meeting place for friends of this sport. The special feature of the Goms trail is that it links no less than 12 picturesque villages, from Oberwald to Niederwald. Almost every village has a stop on the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway (MGB) – a very popular feature among cross-country skiers. There's always the option of a comfortable train ride back to the starting point, as the fancy takes you.

Unique in Goms is the cross-country ski lift, with which you cover a twelve-meter climb in altitude along the approximately 30-meter ride. Right next to the lift you discover a specially prepared fun park for cross-country skiers – and moguls and small jumps help cross-country fans improve balance on these skinny skis!
