The Switzerland Travel Academy offers you an Electronic learning (eLearning) platform, educating members on practical information on how and where to travel in Switzerland, enhancing travel agents to plan and market trips to Switzerland. In a sense, eLearning is all about convenience - thanks to computers and the Worldwide Web, eLearning content is available anywhere at any time and is centered on the learner, personalized and customized. Furthermore electronic delivery allows for immediate feedback and gratification - helping motivate travel agents to become a Certified Specialist.

This is how it works
The Switzerland Network course gives you the know-how to sell Switzerland better, easier and more effectively. Developed in cooperation with The Travel Institute, you will earn 10 CEU's (Continuing Education Units) upon certification.
The Switzerland Network Program is an online training program (see link at the bottom of this page).
The course is divided into five seminars that you can study at your own pace. The first provides a detailed overview of the country, the rest focuses on various topics of use for the planning and selling trips to Switzerland.
Each seminar requires approximately two to four hours of study. The final exam consist of 30 multiple-choice questions per seminar (seminar 1 to 5), which you need to answer all correctly in order to pass. On each semester you have a maximum of 3 chances per seminar to pass your exam. Once you complete all the final examinations you will become a Switzerland Certified Specialist.

Visit Switzerland and meet the Swiss suppliers.
We will organize two On-Site-Education-Trips to Switzerland every year. These trips consist of a one day workshop where you meet with about 25 Swiss suppliers and a three day site inspection. Each trip is dedicated to a different region. Certified Switzerland Specialists are also eligible to go on individual site inspections throughout the year. As a part of the continuing education of the Switzerland Network Program you will receive 6 CEU's by participating in a study trip.

What does it cost?
Registration fee, access to the online study course and one year's membership for non-virtuoso/vacation.com members: US $95/Can $98.

As a Certified Switzerland Specialist you have to report at least 50 overnights a year.
