It has not received an extensive renovation but has repeatedly undergone careful restoration and enhancement. A shop and wine-tasting room have been installed in the section formerly housing the animals. Attractive ornamental and kitchen gardens also feature as part of the impressive property, which includes a summerhouse, an orchard and small farm animals. The modest infrastructure has been adapted as requirements have changed.
This inn, run with a very personal touch by the owners, offers environmentally sound products from the local area, with some of them actually grown on site. The jury particularly praised the impressive consistency of approach of the owners and proprietors, whose boundless enthusiasm and skill gives their business (only open at weekends) a special charisma.
