Charming house dating from 1753, offering romantic rooms and superb Swiss cuisine.
Special Distinction 2000

Distinguished «for the careful restoration and general renovation of the valuable country inn.»

The representative house and tavern located at the Gemmi and Lötschen pass routes was built in 1793 for «Landesvenner» Peter Germann, the highest indigenous public servant and representative of the bailiff of that period. The main façade bears numerous inscriptions, coats of arms and paintings. In 1990, renovations were undertaken to preserve the historic building. Some of the most important interventions were the cautious renewal of the restaurant, the careful restoration of the old hotel rooms and their partial refurbishing with period furniture. Another impressive feature is the inclusion of a historic flower garden in the overall complex. Today’s marketing philosophy is clearly underlines the traditional aspect of the premises.
