Culture 
During the latest renovation work (1998-2000), large sections of the ship's hull and superstructure had to be renovated and in some cases replaced. The design of the replacement sections is as true to the originals as possible. Structures including the 1920s wheelhouse design and the original canvas roof on the afterdeck were retained. The interior layout of the ship was only slightly changed through the addition of a new office entrance. The careful restoration of the first-class lounge merits special mention, as does the reinstallation of the second-class lounge and the Schiller room on the upper deck.
