The function rooms on the ground floor - the reading room, the former billiard room, the stairway and the dining room - open out onto a generously proportioned hall. These rooms have all been more or less retained in their original state with ornamental plasterwork, wall panelling, furniture and lamps deriving from the period of construction. The latest renovation work has been very carefully executed by a qualified restorer, while the hotel is tastefully maintained with much love and affection by the owners. All the guest bedrooms have been completely renovated in the course of the past 15 years, with special attention being paid to preserving the building's typical elements (stairway, corridors and windows).

The simplifying changes to the exterior, undertaken in the 1960s, are limited in scope. The new ingredients, such as the indoor swimming pool and the main entrance, are secondary to the historic building. The gardens are well-tended and tastefully designed with a new iron arbour and a modern fountain. The philosophy of the business and the well-groomed appearance of the house and its surroundings are worthy of recognition.
