This resulted in today's complex comprising a sensitively restored older part and a new residential section. The latter, with its simple tuff-stone façade, offers an exciting counterbalance to the older section. The new connecting section, with its unique panorama over the Roseggtal, is another interesting addition. It concludes the newly created courtyard which serves as a driveway to the hotel. The current infrastructure reflects a very carefully thought-out design.

The entire hotel complex offers an astonishingly wide range of activities - lodgings in the old or new building, meeting point in the old building or sports (indoor swimming pool) in the new section. The jury was particularly impressed by the balance between the old structure and the new architecture. It rates the Hotel Saratz as one of those rare examples of a skilful development that does not lower the tone of the original structure and succeeds in incorporating the existing fabric.
