Enhance your wellbeing by simple, natural means. Raise your health and fitness level, experience the natural quality of life in Switzerlands first biosphere reserve.
Moors and marshlands are counted among nature's rarest and most precious areas because they are the habitats of a multitude of protected plants and animal species. The huge forest-island of Napf, for example, with its difficult to access canyons, serves as a habitat for endangered species like the capercaillie, the eagle owl, and the lynx. Along the Kleine Emme, between Entlebuch and Doppleschwand, there is a charming meadow landscape of national significance. The Schrattenfluh is one of the most impressive karst regions of the pre-Alps. It has even imparted its name to a type of rock, the Schratten-lime.
