'Bergland Produkte' is a farm and 'life' community comprising six adults and five children. We operate an organically-based agri-tourism farm in picturesque Ernen, at 1,200 metres above sea level. Predominantly older breeds of domestic animal threatened with extinction such as Hinterwald cattle, old Valais country sheep and woolly pigs (Mangalitza) live on our farm.

The spectacular hike up to Alp Turnels, a romantic dairy farm between Wasserngrat and Giferspitz at 1900 m above sea level takes about 90 minutes. Once there, you will be treated to all kinds of delicious local produce. The highlight of your visit will come after the traditional cheese-making demonstration, when you will be able to enjoy a relaxing and health-giving bath in warm whey!

The Ecological Centre "UomoNatura di Acquacalda" was set up in the nineteen eighties to promote initiatives to make good use of Lucomagno's natural heritage, a fine Alpine environment in the middle of ancient mixed forests of silver firs, larches, mountain pines and cembran pines. The offer of weeks of walking without a rucksack is part of this initiative.

The Fondazione Curzùtt - San Barnard was established in 1998 with the aim of reviving the main historic, artistic and scenic testimonies of the "Collina Alta" of Monte Carasso near Bellinzona. The Foundation has furthermore set up a comfortable youth and group hostel in order to foster an understanding for and arouse interest in culture and nature by actively including young people.

The footpath runs parallel to the famous Toblerone Line and unfolds along a lengthy succession of natural sites which remain untouched by man. Linking the Jura and Lake Geneva region, the Toblerone Trail is a must-do walk combining history, nature, heritage and discovery.
