UNESCO Biosphere, Entlebuch

Barren high moors, flowery low moor bogs and a primeval moorland delight the senses! Moors - as far as the eye can see and your feet will carry you. Nowhere else in Switzerland are there so many nationally protected moors in such a small area as in the Entlebuch: 44 high moors, 61 low moor bogs and 4 moorlands characterise the landscape. Mysterious moor trails, old pass routes, wonderful vantage points and much more await visitors on their tour through the UNESCO biosphere.
Various accommodation options
A great variety of accommodation options to suit every budget and taste are available along the Moorland Trail. Whether simple and rustic with sleeping in straw or a dormitory at an Alpine establishment, romantic in a room in an old farmhouse or sophisticated in a hotel - the guest is king and rules. Details are available in the Moorland Trail brochure. The gastro partners of the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch satisfy high quality standards and are particularly recommended.
