Hotel Gravas, Vella
The family-run *** Hotel Gravas has 15 welcoming and comfortable rooms - mostly south-facing with a balcony and television, but all with a shower or bath/WC - and is situated above the village of Vella, at an altitude of 1250 metres in the Val Lumnezia. Thanks to the open, undeveloped location, you'll enjoy tranquillity and magnificent views across the valley to the nearby mountains. Both the newly-constructed 4-seater chairlift and village can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The hotel's facilities also include a sauna, steam bath, fitness training room and massages. Nordic walking lessons with a qualified SNO trainer are also offered. In the evenings, in addition to half-board, guests can dine à-la-carte in the "Stiva blaua" restaurant or in the pizzeria. Various events like the "Spaghettata", "Cinghialata" and the renowned "Best of Organic" buffet provide for interesting culinary highlights during the week. An emphasis on fresh, organic and seasonal ingredients has prevailed in the kitchen of the Gravas since the 1980s. This philosophy partners "Gôut mieux" admirably, and the Mediterranean cuisine has accordingly been awarded "WWF" accreditation.
