The footpath runs parallel to the famous Toblerone Line and unfolds along a lengthy succession of natural sites which remain untouched by man. Linking the Jura and Lake Geneva region, the Toblerone Trail is a must-do walk combining history, nature, heritage and discovery.
The 10-kilometre-long Toblerone Trail runs through several nature reserves of cantonal and national importance. The military fortifications along the trail have been entered in the list of historic monuments of the Canton of Vaud. Most of the trail runs alongside streams edged virtually throughout by forest in its natural state. The trail furthermore crosses the magnificent Gland golf course which is a protected biosphere reserve. By the way, this section of the trail is suitable for wheelchair users, as is the Villa Rose (or Pink Villa) and the beach (access to the water). Several fun information boards provide insights into the role of the forest, tree species and historic elements of this strategic line.
