Carouge

Carouge is situated a few minutes' drive from the heart of Geneva and is an attractive town which should not be bypassed.
It was an idea of Victor Amédée III (King of Sardinia during the Age of Englightenment) and was built by Piedmontese architects. The town has fully preserved its late eighteenth century charm.

Carouge is shielded by Mount Salève and bathed by the river Arve which whose source is at the foot of Mont Blanc. With its shady squares, numerous restaurants and cafés, fashion stores and antique shops, it is an extremely pleasant town! Markets are held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings and small boutiques, craftsmen and artists contribute to the lively atmosphere.

How to get there:
Public transport: Tram 12 and 13
Motorway: drive past the airport, take the exit "Carouge-La Praille".
