The archaeological section gives you the chance to immerse yourself in local and regional prehistory, Egyptian and Near Eastern antiquity, and Etruscan, Greek and Roman civilizations.
The fine arts section displays more than 400 paintings dating from the Renaissance to today: Renoir, Monet, Sisley, Pissaro, Cézanne, Modigliani, Chagall and Picasso to name but a few of the artists. Beautiful works by Swiss artists, including Ferdinand Hodler, are also on display.
