Zernez

The Alpine landscape of the National Park extends from an altitude of 1,400 to 3200 meters above sea level.
The oldest Central European and Alpine national park is famous for its great variety of Alpine fauna and flora and its virtually intact natural landscape. Numerous alpine plants flower between June and August. By July or August the last patches of snow disappear even at the higher altitudes, making this an ideal moment to visit these regions. With a little luck and patience, walkers are able to observe deer, ibex, chamois, marmots and golden eagles.

Location:
The park is situated in the Engadine and Müstair valleys of the canton of Graubünden.

How to get there:
By car from Chur via Davos/Flüelapass or by public transportation from Chur via Klosters(Vereinatunnel) to Zernez.

Opening hours:
June to October, daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays up to 10 p.m.
