This a natural site of national and international importance.
Champ-Pittet is unspoiled nature at your feet. Between the flooded forests and the woodland ponds are rare, glutinous alder plantations, fields of knotted rushes and floating patches of beautiful white water-lilies. Approximately two hundred different species of birds have been spotted here, 70 of which breed in the area.

Opening hours:
April to October, from Tuesday to Sunday.
Open on Easter Monday, Whit Monday and on public holidays.

How to get there:
Champ-Pittet is on the edge of Lake Neuchatel, near Yverdon-les-Bains.
By car: follow the signs marked "Centre Pro Natura". Car parking available.
By train: make your way to Yverdon-les-Bains. Take bus line 1 in the direction of "Cessnov" to "Pré du Châtaignier" and walk for 5 minutes (follow signposts).
On foot from the train station: 30 minutes' walk along a straight path or 45 minutes' walk along the shore of the lake.
