The beautiful Strada Alta (High Road) leads over 40 km through a wonderful natural and cultural landscape, through valleys, villages, streams, meadows and woods to the mountains of the Leventina.
Verzasca (Ticino)
A hiking trail for art: The "sentierone" begins in Mergoscia and leads through the length of the entire Verzasca valley to Sonogno along the river on the opposite bank to the cantonal road. The trail is quite level and easy to walk along, and walkers can interrupt their hike at will since there are numerous bridges across the river to the road and the postal bus.
