The historic hotel of the year 2005

The Waldhaus Hotel enjoys as prominent location on a wooden rocky hill. It was built from 1905 to 1908 after plans by St-Moritz hotel architect Karl Koller. Partially destroyed by a fire in 1927, the hotel was then given its present appearance. The stately manor, conceived to be admired from afar, reminds you of a romantic fortress. The interior with its imposing staircase is largely intact, while the representative floor plan of the ground floor, with its sequence of halls and parlors, leaves a lasting impression. The unconditional commitment for the history of the hotel – owned by the same family since its construction –, the carefully maintained interior decoration and furniture, and the undivided attention offered to the guests, reflect an entrepreneurial philosophy of an unsurpassed level.
