The Hotel Paxmontana, built in 1896 in art nouveau style, stands on a hilltop in idyllic Flüeli-Ranft, where St. Nicholas of Flüe lived and worked. The hotel with its unique arbour has been gradually restored in keeping with its original appearance, and has 120 guest rooms furnished with great attention to detail.

The hotel garden has Kneipp hydrotherapy pools as well as a large sun terrace on which to linger. The à-la-carte restaurant Veranda dating from 1902 offers breathtaking views over the Pilatus and Lake Sarnen, and serves delicious fresh, seasonal and regional cuisine.
