The village of Täsch is 1,449 metres above sea level and is home to around 998 people. It is situated 6 km from the world-famous tourist region of Zermatt and its majestic landmark - the Matterhorn. Täsch is effectively the gateway to this huge and amazing mountain range.

How to get there

Public Transport: You can easily and comfortably travel to the holiday resort of Täsch using the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway. Travellers coming from Brig or Visp have connections to take them to Täsch. This means that you can travel to the holiday resorts of the Mattertal valley at any time of the year in an environmentally friendly way and at the same time enjoy the unique experience of travelling alongside the river Mattervispe through the deepest valley in Switzerland. The Matterhorn Gotthard Railway provides free parking for visitors arriving by car. The famous Glacier Express operates between St. Moritz and Zermatt (also stops in Täsch) all year round.
By car: Täsch can be easily reached by car or coach by using the well-built road through the Mattertal valley. There are multi-storey car parks and public car parks, including the Matterhorn Terminal Täsch, which has 2,100 covered parking spaces.
