Summer

At the basilica de Valère in Sion you will be able to discover the world's oldest organ still in use. Not far from there, hidden from prying eyes, lies Europe's largest navigable underground lake ready to unveil its secrets. While out walking in Val d'Hérens, be sure not to miss the world's highest gravity dam, the Grande-Dixence, which stands at 285 metres. And on top of everything, don't forget you're in the heart of Switzerland's largest vineyard.

Winter

Abundant snowfall, an idyllic climate, 600 km of marked tracks, from the most undemanding to the most extreme, are among the attractions awaiting you in Anzère, Evolène-Région, Nax, Thyon-Région and Veysonnaz.

With areas reserved for snowboards, half-pipes or boardercross, there are facilities to cater for all styles and all levels. On ski slopes renowned the world over you will experience breathtaking sensations as, for example, you descend the piste de l'OURS at Veysonnaz, the venue of eight world cups. Around a hundred ski lifts will take you to altitudes of up to 3,300 m, opening up to view some remarkable vistas of prestigious summits such as the Matterhorn, Dent-Blanche or Mont-Blanc.
