Bettmeralp lies on the sunny side of Switzerland, beside the 23-km Great Aletsch Glacier, the longest and most enchanting ice river in the Alps. Its breathtaking beauty can be admired on a guided walk. Valley of minerals.

Among mineral aficionados, the wild and romantic Binntal is a classic: more than 160 varieties of crystal, some extremely rare, are found in this nature reserve, which borders directly on the oldest natural park in Piedmont in Italy. Old smugglers’ routes, now marked as footpaths and mountain bike trails, lead up to the passes in just a few hours. The geological centre and educational trail reveal many of the valley’s hidden secrets.
